Where is Terracotta House Plants located?

We are located in Miami, FL. Our greenhouses are not open to the public and we do not have a retail store (hopefully will in the future). Ordering is only available online.

I just placed my order...have you shipped it yet?

Shipping times vary depending on your location. Typically, orders are processed and shipped within 2-5 business days. We provide tracking information so you can follow your plant’s journey. Delivery times may vary based on your location and weather conditions.

It's snowing here, how will you ship my order?

We provide heat packs exclusively for orders that include the purchase of Winter Shipping Assurance (WSA). When WSA is purchased, we will personally monitor the temperatures in your region and include a heat pack according to the following guidelines:

  • Above 31°F: A heat pack is not required and may harm the plants.
  • 21°F – 31°F: A heat pack will be included with your shipment.
  • Below 21°F: Your order will be held for up to two weeks. If the weather does not improve within this period, the order will be canceled and refunded. In certain cases, we may extend the two-week hold at our discretion.

We also strongly recommend selecting expedited shipping during colder months to reduce the time your plant is exposed to extreme temperatures. This helps ensure the plant's safe arrival, particularly when weather conditions are unpredictable.

You will receive an email notification by the end of the day on Saturday of the shipping week if temperatures are too cold to proceed with shipping. Since this process is entirely manual, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding. We will keep you informed as soon as possible!

It’s 120 Degrees and Tires Are Melting—How Do We Protect Your Order?

We take special care when shipping to hot regions like Arizona, especially during the summer months. To ensure your plants arrive safely, purchasing Summer Shipping Assurance (SSA) is required for all orders during extreme temperature conditions. With SSA, we use insulated packaging and, in some cases, include cooling gel packs to protect plants from high heat.

We strongly recommend selecting expedited shipping (overnight or two-day) to minimize the time your plants are exposed to extreme temperatures. You can also choose to have your package held at a local shipping facility for pickup, preventing it from sitting outside in the heat.

If temperatures in your area are too high, we may delay shipping until conditions improve. You will be notified via email if this happens. Orders are usually shipped early in the week to avoid weekend delays, and we advise monitoring your tracking information closely to ensure prompt receipt.

This process is handled with care, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during periods of extreme weather.

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

Due to the delicate nature of plants, we do not offer refunds or exchanges unless the plant arrives damaged. If there is an issue with your order, please reach out to us and we will do our best to assist.

What if my plant arrives damaged?

We take great care in packaging our plants to ensure they arrive safely. However, if your plant arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order, and we will work to resolve the issue. Please include a photo of the damage in your message with your order number included.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we only ship within the United States of America. International shipping is something we are considering for the future, so stay tuned for updates!

How do I know when new plants are available?

Can I request a specific rare plant?

Yes! If you're searching for a specific rare plant that isn't currently listed, let us know through our request form. We will do our best to source it for you or notify you when it's available.

Do you offer gift options?

Absolutely! You can choose to send your order as a gift, and we’ll include a personalized message. We also offer gift cards, so your friends and family can choose the rare plants they love.

How do you ensure plants are pest-free?

We take every precaution to ensure our plants are healthy and pest-free before shipping. Each plant is inspected and treated for pests if necessary. However, we recommend always inspecting your plant upon arrival and following quarantine practices when introducing it to your home collection.
